Marianites adopt a forest patch at Arudai Fuel Reserve

Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous), in collaboration with the Kottayam Forest Division, High Range Circle, observed World Environment Day on 4 June 2026. The programme was inaugurated by Shri. Dileef B., Range Forest Officer (RFO), Erumely, and presided over by Shri. Praful Agrawal, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Kottayam. On the occasion, Marian College received a Certificate of Commendation from the Forest Department for its participation in the “Adopt a Forest Patch” scheme through the adoption of a forest patch at Arudai Fuel Reserve, Thottapura (Bit-2), under the Erumely Range. The celebration also included a field-based conservation activity at Thottapura, where students of the Department of Economics participated in forest weed-clearing efforts, gaining firsthand experience in environmental conservation and the protection of indigenous tree species.
