Grooming Standards

  • Students shall wear the prescribed uniform on all days from Monday to Friday unless otherwise permitted by the Principal.  
  • Students shall always keep dignity and decency in dressing even while they are exempted from wearing uniforms.
  • Violation of the dress code may result in denial of admission to classes/office/ labs/ library/meetings/ and other programmes on campus.
  • Even if there are no regular classes for a particular section of students due to examinations, study leave etc. they shall be in full uniform on campus, if it is a regular working day for other students.
  • Students suffering from health issues are permitted to wear jackets above the uniform. Such jackets shall be blue or black in color and shall not have big writings and pictures on it.
  • Students shall adhere to the following grooming standards on campus:
    1. A student with beard shall keep the beard freshly trimmed.
    2. The hair shall be properly trimmed.
    3. No coloring of hairs are permitted for boys.
    4. Wild and fancy hair styles are expressly disallowed.
    5. Boys are not permitted to wear ear studs, freak bands on hands and tattooing on visible areas.
    6. Boys are not allowed to use mascara, eye liner etc.
    7. Uniforms shall be clean, well maintained and ironed. 
    8. Belts must be black (to match the shoes) and must sport a plain conservative style.
    9. Shirt/Top must be buttoned up fully and tucked-in shirt is compulsory.
    10. ID card are part of the uniform.
    11. Alteration of uniforms (Narrow fit, Pencil Fit etc.) are not allowed. Pants must have proper inseam length (neither too short nor too long). They must have the right circumference around your waist, seat, thigh, knee and ankle. They shouldn’t be too loose and baggy, nor skin tight. Pleats are not mandatory.
    12. PG students shall wear formal shoes (black or brown) with their uniform. 
    13. For UG Students – Slippers, Flip-Flops and colored shoes are not allowed with uniform. However, Sandals are permitted.
