I am delighted to share my experiences at Marian College Kuttikanam, where I completed both my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Computer Applications. I am proud to say that the college has played a significant role in shaping my personal and professional growth. During my time at Marian, I had the pleasure of being taught by some of the best teachers in the Computer Applications department. They are not just experts in their fields but also kind and approachable individuals who provided me with valuable guidance and support. Their dedication to teaching inspired me to work hard and achieve my academic goals. Even after graduation, I still reach out to my teachers and share my updates with them as they continue to be my mentors and provide me with invaluable career advice. Their support and encouragement have been instrumental in my personal and professional growth. In addition to my studies, I also had the opportunity to be an active participant in the college's extracurricular activities. I was the NSS Volunteer Secretary during my undergraduate years, where I was involved in various social activities and community service projects. During my postgraduate studies, I served as the Secretary of the Matrix Association, which allowed me to hone my leadership skills and organizational abilities. Marian College Kuttikanam provided me with a warm and welcoming environment where I could thrive academically and socially. The college's commitment to excellence and its focus on holistic development made me a confident and well-rounded individual. Studying at Marian College was a life-changing experience for me. The college not only helped me grow academically but also spiritually. The supportive teachers, well-structured curriculum, and the beautiful campus environment made my journey at Marian truly amazing. I pursued both my BCA and MCA from the college, and it was one of the best decisions of my life. The faculty members were highly knowledgeable, experienced, and always ready to assist me. The hostel system at Marian was awesome, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for students like me who were from out of town. Marian College provided me with numerous opportunities to develop my career. I was honored to be the best outgoing student from the MCA program, and was awarded the prestigious Mother Teresa award during my BCA. I was fortunate enough to secure a teaching position at Marian College after completing my studies and working for some time. I am grateful for the skills and knowledge I gained during my tenure at Marian, which helped me excel in my career. After working for a few years at TCS, I decided to resign to care for my children, and I started my own business as well. With the confidence and skills I acquired from Marian, I was able to start and run a successful business. I am now settled in the USA with my blessed family, which consists of my wonderful husband and two beautiful children. Overall, I cannot thank Marian College enough for shaping me into the person I am today. The college not only helped me build a successful career, but also nurtured me spiritually, drawing me closer to Christ, the center of my life.
Marian has a unique learning atmosphere in such a way that it has prepared me for my professional life. Besides, the regular curriculum, Marian groomed us industry-ready from the very beginning of the course itself by providing right trainings. We always had the opportunities to improve our functional skills by take part in different association activities. Moreover, the community activities and peer trainings taught us inclusivity and importance of teamwork which is very essential in professional as well as personal life.
I can say with pride that I have completed my post-graduation at Marian College. The institute is technologically advanced and offers an ideal study environment. Here I found people who were supportive and guided me on the path to my degree. The faculty members are helpful and informative. I want to thank the Department of Computer Applications for providing the best curriculum with highly-qualified professors and the placement team for conducting various technical and soft skills sessions.
Myself, Mamatha Mahendran (MCA 2016–2018), batch .The first thing that comes to mind is our Marian campus covered in mist, with that mind-blowing view. My college life experience was a unique combination of academics, social life, extracurricular activities, and friends. College life provided me with the opportunity to explore my career interests and gain practical experience through projects. I completed multiple projects during my college years, which allowed me to gain valuable experience in the IT field and build professional networks. The professors were experts in IT fields, and they were always willing to help and support their students at any time. These experiences helped me secure a job at an MNC after post-graduation. As a pass out student, college life has been a significant and influential experience for me. It has helped me develop academic and professional skills , to form lasting relationships with friends and faculty.
