Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (DCP)

Marian launched a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (DCP) from the 2020-21 academic year. The programme is to equip candidates to pursue a career in counselling and psychotherapy. This will also strengthen the skills of those working as counsellors, administrators, teachers, leaders, and social activists/social workers etc. to respond effectively in conflicting situations/behaviours. The programme offers training in counselling and therapies spread under various courses such as developmental psychology, counselling skills, family and couple counselling, counselling children and adolescents, cognitive behaviour therapy, Jungian and Adlerian therapies, other psychotherapies etc. and covers all foundation courses in psychology and counselling. The programme includes practical training in counselling and therapies. Field practice/internship is embedded in the course curriculum to provide training and experience in counselling.

Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (DCP)

  • Eligibility for Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy Admission
    1. Candidates possessing genuine interest and aptitude in counselling.
    2. Candidates for admission to the DCP programme shall be required to have passed any undergraduate programme of any University recognized by UGC.
  • Selection
    1. Rank list shall be prepared based on the marks/grade in Bachelors Programme and personal interview which shall be used to assess the suitability of the candidate to the programme. The final rank list shall be prepared out of 100 marks.
  • Instructions
    1. Applications will be accepted online only. The application fee is Rs 200/- The application fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
