BA Applied Economics

The department of economics is one of the youngest departments on campus. Inaugurated in 2014, the department has three faculty and a total student strength of fifty two. The department offers Model I Course of the Mahatma Gandhi University for the UG Programme in Economics. All the leading national institutes of the country offering post graduate courses in Economics require the students to have opted for Mathematics in their UG course. In view of this, the Complementary Course offered at Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) is Mathematics and mathematical Economics.
